Sidenor R&D participates in a Workshop aimed at presenting the results of the European Project SHOWTIME
On June 28th, a Workshop will take place in London for presenting the results of the European Project SHOWTIME, supported by the RFCS programme and to which Sidenor R&D has participated
The project was aimed at developing a new system for erecting large hybrid wind towers (up to 220 m) comprising a conventional ferrule for the upper part and a tubular structure for the lower part. The participation of Sidenor R&D focused on the use of two types of fasteners manufactured using the EXTREME technology. Both types have met the requirements of ISO898-1 standard for 10.9 fasteners and allowed to improve fatigue performance compared with the standard reference 32CrB4.
