The steel company has reached a score of 70 points on 100, thus ranking in the 93 percentile and getting very close to the Gold medal

EcoVadis, the leading environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance platform, has awarded Sidenor the silver medal for its sustainability practices. More precisely, in the assessment conducted last January, the steel company reached a score of 70 points on 100, thus ranking in the 93 percentile and getting very close to reaching the gold medal, awarded to entities that reach a percentile of 95 or above.

This distinction represents a significant advance compared with its previous assessment in 2002, where the company also obtained the silver medal, but with a lower percentile (80). The improvement to percentile 93 demonstrates Sidenor’s continuous commitment to sustainability in its operations and processes.

“This acknowledgment underlines our tireless commitment to integrating sustainable practices in our entire value chain, with a special focus on people, environment, society, ethics and business transparency” underlined Sara Jainaga.

Along these lines, the scoring improvement obtained in EcoVadis’ assessment reflects the collective work performed by Sidenor’s entire staff, thanks to whose efforts, involvement and dedication Sidenor has been able to transversally integrate sustainability in all its strategic axes.
