This third edition is organised by INFORMED and, year after year, is growing into a major event for all actors involved in the recycling and recovery of waste, as well as in the field of secondary raw materials (“SRM-Secondary Raw Materials”). 14 conferences will be given in relation to waste in steel and foundry (focusing on refractory waste) and other sectors; Sidenor will speak about “Refractory waste valorisation under Sidenor steel plant strategy”. This invitation of Sidenor as a speaker strengthens the good practices that are developing in this field as well as its image of a company committed to the environment and the optimization of its resources.
The organisation of the event includes an interesting visit to Horn&Co, which is, among its various business lines, the major European company of refractory waste management and recovery. The visit will include the production facilities as well as the laboratories, with a particular focus on the LIBS technology (“laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy”) for waste separation and classification.
