90 Sustainability Report 2022 | People and talent At Sidenor, talent is defined in the following manner: “At Sidenor, talent resides within people who are committed to the Company, its values and sustainable objectives and who have the capacity to reach and defend them, working in a team”. This definition includes many concepts such as commitment, values, objectives, capacities and, ultimately, a skill that is much required among our people - team work. These concepts are some of the ingredients which shape our talent recipe: capacities, commitment and action. We refer to capacities as a set of knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences to develop. As for commitment, it can be regarded as a person’s degree of involvement in the company where she will develop its main activity. Ultimately, action means implementing all these capacities and performing actions so that the company obtains a result and the person can further develop. At Sidenor, we strongly believe that talent can be developed if one has the necessary motivation, the adequate knowledge tools and if habits are generated. Combining these requirements, a person will be able to develop her talent, as a motivated person enjoys what she is doing. In addition, such persons will do their best to strengthen their knowledge and will thus acquire the necessary tools which, once they materialize into actions, will be able to generate habits that are beneficial both to the person and the company. At Sidenor, it is very important that individual talent is part of organizational talent - that is, we consider that individual talent development is closely linked to collective talent development – they are two sides of the same coin. The key to success resides in the fact that one thing cannot happen without the other and, this way, we will be able to reach a common purpose.
