Sustainability Report 2022 | Environmental sustainability H-ACERO project Objective: To contribute to the decarbonization of the steel sector, using hydrogen as an alternative source of energy in various phases of the steel production process. Duration of the project: 3 years. H2HORNOS project Objective: Progressive decarbonization, through H 2 use, of the industrial furnaces that are used in the steel and aluminium sectors. Development of burners for gas/H 2 blends. Various blending percentages with up to 100% H 2 . Adaptation of furnace designs according to the changes implied by the use of H 2 : Increased flame temperature. Change in furnace atmosphere ( CO 2 , nitrogen, H 2 O) ERABILH2 project Objective: Advanced solutions for the integration and optimal operation of devices based on H 2 in final applications: mobility and industrial use.
