36 Sustainability Report 2022 | About us One more year, Sidenor worked to fulfil its digitization plan, implementing new 4.0 technologies and developing new projects. In the industrial area, and with a view to maximizing the automation level of our plants and developing a digital twin, the following can be highlighted:  We have finalized the pilot for the energy monitoring of the factory in Basauri together with BIGDA Solutions. Throughout 2023, we will work to deploy this solution in Sidenor’s other plants.  We are further advancing in the business intelligence portal of the Company, integrating the quality area in the existing areas (BSC/ sales).  We developed a model to optimize casting melting planning, which we integrated with our ERP.  We finalized the implementation of the computer-assisted maintenance management (CAMM) program in Basauri steelworks and finished products, as well as in the plant of Azkoitia. The CAMM system will allow us to optimize maintenance processes. Besides that, and in connection with process automation, the following projects can be highlighted:  Implementation of “Vendor Invoice Management” (VIM), for the automation of invoice posting through an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software which allows to read the various documents and their fields.  We further rely on “SuccessFactors” as a tool for human resources management, and deploy this solution for all performance management operators.
