33 Sidenor is undergoing a process of innovation, launched at the beginning of 2020, with the aim of pursuing and strengthening our Sustainability, People, Resilience and Diversification strategy.  Sustainability: Reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, fostering circularity and the incorporation of production systems based on renewable energies, with a view to avoiding the depletion and degradation of natural resources, so as to meet the needs of current generations without jeopardizing the needs of future ones.  People: Approach focused on human beings in the industry, placing their fundamental needs and interests at the center of the production process. Instead of asking what we can do with the new technology, we ask what technology can do for us. Instead of adapting our skills to the needs of a fast evolving technology, we intend to use technology in order to adapt the production process to our needs, with a focus on our training. This also implies ensuring that the use of new technologies does not affect our fundamental rights, such as the right to privacy, autonomy and human dignity.  Resilience: We need to develop a greater degree of solidity in industrial production, so as to be able to face challenging situations. We intend to be a flexible and competitive industry, which can adapt to new situations, with an adaptive production capacity based on the development of intelligent control systems and with the essential complement of flexible sales processes.  Diversification: Searching for opportunities inside and outside the special steel business. The analysis of each ecosystem considered within the innovation process is carried out in a transversal perspective, within the collaborative framework of a multidisciplinary team from various areas such as Sales, Human Resources, Finance, Industry, Corporate Development and R&D. Sidenor focuses its innovation process both on process and product. Innovation prompts us to develop products and services which are required, and will be required in the future, by our customers and markets in general, but also to be a company that is safer, more efficient, more competitive and more respectful of the environment.  In the area of product development , we strengthened cooperation relationships with our key customers.
