18 Sustainability Report 2022 | About us In 2022, a year in which this pandemic situation finally subsided, Sidenor maintained the control and hygiene measures in all its facilities in order to ensure the safety and health of all its employees. For this reason, throughout the year, we kept complying with the recommendations indicated in the official documents established by the Spanish Government and the Basque Government, in addition to applying our own minimum measures established by the Management and Prevention Service of the Company. We maintained the safety and health committees in all plants, where COVID-19 remained among the matters to address, so that the measures to be taken might be transferred to the social representatives and that other actions which have a positive effect on workers’ health might also be discussed. Overall, the actions aimed at limiting workers’ exposure were maintained, among which the following can be highlighted: Continuation of preventive hygienic measures . Controlling the spread of the virus. Complying with the social and/or labor measures defined by the authorities. Mandatory use of a mask in all meetings where no proper room ventilation can be ensured and where the number of participants might lead to people’s exposure. In addition, we continue our face-to-face and videoconference meetings policy in order to limit exposure. Control by the plant medical services of people who might be positive in order to ensure that the minimum necessary measures are implemented so as to avoid contagion among co-workers. COVID-19
