With this operation, Sidenor seeks to grow in the market by offering a wider range of high added value products. It thus intends to increase its presence for customers which consume steel for vehicle steering systems.  Manufacturing of the first casting in the new 600mm continuous casting rounded bloom format .  Sidenor attends the second edition of the EUROFORGE conFAIR 2022 , the largest forging fair in Europe, and participates in the conferences with a lecture entitled “Our path towards sustainability”, which highlights Sidenor’s commitment to the fight against climate change through the decarbonization of its processes and the implementation of circular economy throughout the entire value chain. OCTOBER  Launch of the initiative Sidenor Te Reconoce (Sidenor Recognizes You) , which recognizes the individual or group efforts and performance of the people who have notably contributed to the objectives, results and criteria established by Sidenor. NOVIEMBRE  Sidenor participates in the “Basque Circular Summit” Congress on November 23-25, one of the most significant events on eco-design and the circular economy in Southern Europe.  Verification by an independent third party of the organization carbon footprint calculation result for 2021 , as well as the GHG emission inventory it is based on, according to “THE GREENHOUSE GAS PROTOCOL” and “CORPORATE VALUE CHAIN (SCOPE 3) ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING STANDARD”.  Successful finalization of the European E-CO- LADLEBRICK project , coordinated by Sidenor R&D, which aimed at developing ecological and economic refractory waste management in the steel mill, promoting the first “R” (“Reduce”), optimizing the use of refractories in ladles and minimizing the quantity of waste generated. DICIEMBRE  Conclusion of the agreement for the recovery of steel mill slag with the company Harrigreen, which opens up new opportunities for the utilization of our steel aggregates as part of our Circular Economy strategy.
