14 Sustainability Report 2022 | About us 2022 Achievements JANUARY  Sidenor announces the purchase of Aguilar Metal Recycling-AMR . With this purchase, Sidenor boosts its metal waste treatment capacity and ensures the continuous supply of quality industrial scrap.  Presentation of the SHYNE project (Spanish Hydrogen Network) , the largest multi- sectoral consortium in Spain, whose mission is to promote the decarbonization of the economy through renewable hydrogen. It gathers 22 companies, among which Sidenor, and 11 associations, technological centers and universities under the leadership of Repsol, and aims at promoting renewable hydrogen projects in all Spanish economic areas and fostering a fast and effective decarbonization thanks to this energy carrier. FEBRUARY  Within the framework of the sixth edition of BIND 4.0 , Sidenor has selected Recircular for the search for new opportunities to recover our industrial waste.. MARCH  Sidenor obtains the Information Security Management Systems Certification according to ISO 27001 , an international standard which aims at harmonizing requirements related to the implementation of information security management systems in organizations. In parallel, Sidenor has obtained the TISAX certification , the exclusive automotive industry-standard with regard to information security in organizations.  Successful finalization of the European SupportCast project , which aimed at improving quality control in the billet continuous casting machine through temperature monitoring technologies (scanner), heat surface defects inspection and advanced modelling. In addition, and in the same area, finalization of the ConsolCast project , also European, which consists in developing a differential technology: the optical fiber monitoring of instantaneous temperatures in continuous casting molds. APRIL  Sidenor signs a strategic partnership with the manufacturer of electrodes Showa Denko Carbon in order to ensure the supply of both furnace and ladle furnace electrodes made in Europe, thus avoiding price speculations, ensuring supply and focusing on continuous improvement, process development and digitization.
