116 Sustainability Report 2022 | Commitment to society With our sponsorship, we support various public and private entities which promote sports: Basauri Kirolak The Municipal Sports Institute of Basauri Town Council aims, among others, at protecting, promoting and developing sport in all its diversity. Sidenor sponsors and supports the various sport activities managed by the institute in its premises. Biscay Biscaylde Foundation This public and privately- funded institution coordinates the economic efforts of sports sponsors in order to make their investments profitable, help promote Biscay and contribute to the proper and effective organization of sports events. Women’s rowing team Kaiku Sidenor participates in the activity developed in the club rowing school in its various sports categories: child, cadet and junior- senior, under the new drive of a youth squad female trawler. This season’s team consists of 21 junior-senior female rowers, whereby the number of components has doubled, providing a solid basis to support Kaiku’s female trawler. 5+11 Foundation This non-profit entity works on the development of cultural, educational, social and grassroots sports promotion activities for the benefit of the entire society in Álava. Azkoitia In Azkoitia, we promote local sports by collaborating directly with other clubs and institutions, such as:  The Zubi Berri Gimnastika Kirol Elkartea group, a local rhythmic gymnastics club which practices this federated sports activity with girls in different categories, boosting a total of over 100 gymnasts.  The Zubiarre Igeri Kluba swim club, which was founded in 1991 and started with 50 athletes who competed at school level. At the present day, the team includes over 150 swimmers who compete in different categories.  The Irarurgi Saski Baloia basketball club, located in Azpeitia, which competes in the LEB Oro, the second Spanish basketball division. The team is linked to the RETAbet. es GBC of Liga Endesa. The club’s female team participates in the national first division.  The Oteiza Pilota Taldea pelota club, a local school dedicated to the training of young people and their participation in Basque pelota championships and tournaments. This school trains boys and girls in this sports discipline – over 80 people in total.  The Triatlón Azkoitri Triatloi Kluba triathlon group is a team which trains local triathletes who compete at national level. It was founded in 1992 and was one of the first teams to introduce this discipline in Gipuzkoa. Sidenor also sponsors athletics events such as the Azkoitia Azpeitia Maratoi Erdia or the San Andres Herri Lasterketa, chess tournaments, football events such as the AZPEITIA CUP, etc. Other collaborations
