After establishing a training management and monitoring tool according to the metal agreement, we established a training programme in all factories with the aim of reaching the objective of over 90% compliance with this legal requirement. The training groups were more reduced than usual due to the COVID-19 situation, but the target set was reached. Digitalisation of the monitoring system for the stowage of trucks which leave the factory, in order to ensure that the shipments we send to our warehouses, other factories or customers, are loaded in a safe way, are perfectly stable and do not present any risk during road travel. After improving the system in 2020, we are now able to perform easy and fast registrations, with photographic evidence. Last year, we consolidated the access control platform for contracted workers and visits , achieving a 100% compliance. The new platform enables better flexibility in document management as well as in communication, leading to a significant time reduction. Defibrillation devices were installed in all plants of the group, turning Sidenor into a cardio- protected company. All devices are registered in public administrations so that, in case of punctual emergency outside our organisation, they might also be used by the relevant public bodies. Road safety campaign aiming at raising staff awareness on the importance of safely using individual and industrial vehicles. The Department of Security of the Basque Government developed a Security Master Plan , which allows Euskadi to advance towards a safer and more resilient society; for this purpose, it has established a methodology which helps identify the infrastructures and services considered sensitive for the functioning of the Basque society as a whole. Among these sensitive companies is Sidenor Aceros Especiales, S.L., which has developed the Strategic Plan, followed by the Operator Safety Plan. This led to the final approval, by the Department of Security of the Basque Government, of the Specific Protection Plan, which includes us in this company list.
