80 Sustainability Report 2021 | People and talent We promote equality In 2017, we started shaping Sidenor’s first Equality Plan, a project which finally came to light in 2018 as a result of a major collective effort and allows us to take a step forward with respect to the general scene in the iron and steel industry. The Plan, which was agreed with most union representatives and will remain in force for five years, has been implemented in the worksites of the Basque Country, Cantabria, Castilla La Mancha and Catalonia. With this Plan, we intend to achieve seven key objectives focused on equality, conciliation, training and, in essence, the improvement of our professionals’ quality of life. We have introduced transversal measures for their effective development. Objectives of Selection and hiring Selection interview protocol which ensures transparency and equal opportunities.
