34 Sustainability Report 2021 | About us At Sidenor, we are moving forward on our Sidenor 4.0 digitisation plan, with projects that are focused on the industrial as well as support areas. As regards the industrial area, and as part of our objective to transform Basauri into a smart factory, the following projects should be highlighted: We worked on the design and roadmap for the energy monitoring of the factory in Basauri. We launched the pilot in January 2022 with the aim of finalising the complete plant monitoring over the year. We further advanced in the business intelligence portal of the Company, integrating the quality area in the existing areas (BSC/sales). We developed a model to optimise casting melting planning. We implemented the computer-assisted maintenance management (CAMM) programme at Basauri steelworks. The CAMM system will allow us to optimise maintenance processes. As regards the support areas, our working lines were the following: Digitisation of the relationship with our suppliers through the new purchase portal (digitalisation of the product catalogue). We completed the first phase of the demand forecast project, which consists in modelling and forecasting the demand of our customers by means of artificial intelligence. Performance management in ‘SuccessFactors’, 180º valuation. We further digitalised human resources and opted for ‘SuccessFactors’ as a facilitating tool. Lastly, and within the framework of the BIND 4.0 innovation programme, we developed an artificial vision project together with Allread MLT, building on image processing for meter reading. Innovation: towards Industry 4.0 We are pursuing our digitisation process, developing projects in all areas
