18 Sustainability Report 2021 | About us In 2021, we continued to work internally in order to ensure the safety of all our workers, as well as the integrity of the contracted workers who work with us and the visitors we welcome throughout the year. For this purpose, Sidenor kept modifying its COVID-19 protocol of action all over the year in order to adapt it to the pandemic situation, with the aim to ensure that the measures established afterwards in the factories are efficient for daily work execution. For this reason, each plant has and maintains a specific contingency plan, negotiated with the social part, which establishes measures according to each moment. Overall, the actions established in 2020 were maintained, which are summarised in the following: Further implementing preventive hygienic measures . Controlling the spread of the virus. Complying with the social and/or labour measures defined by the authorities as well as measures that might be issued in the future. In 2021, we maintained in our plants a strict COVID-19 control, whose results endorse the work performed, as no contamination outbreak was detected among the people who work in Sidenor’s premises. This demonstrates the efficiency of the measures established and the need to maintain these over time in order to avoid risks for the workers and production process.
