111 We support culture ABAO At Sidenor, we support entities that are rooted in the society, such as the Bilbao Association of Friends of the Opera (ABAO), one of the main collectives in the Basque and national cultural sector. Throughout the year, we draw tickets among Sidenor’s employees, so that they may attend its events, as well as the other cultural and sporting activities that we sponsor. Choral Society of Bilbao The Choral Society of Bilbao is a non-profit organisation which aims at promoting music in general, and choral music in particular. Sidenor works together with the choral of Bilbao to develop the “Eskolan Kantari” socio-cultural project, at the CEIP Basozelai of Basauri. Commitment to training New ROOM4STEEL seminar at the Engineering school of Bilbao As part of our commitment to training, Sidenor has been working together with the Engineering School of Bilbao and Siderex on launching a new business seminar dedicated to steelmaking, named ROOM4STEEL. This initiative intends to address the problem characterising the sector, which is facing the lack of specialisation of its team staff. The seminar will offer a training itinerary divided into various thematic blocks, including projects which will enable students to carry out their end-of-degree or end-of-master works and do internships in companies. Its main objective is to retain talent, improve its capacities and contribute to introducing students in the labour market. For this academic course, Room4Steel has launched 14 very different projects developed by the eight partner companies. Sidenor Aceros Especiales contributed to two of them. More specifically:  One project aiming at implementing a system to visualise and manage the information and data of Sidenor’s research centre, by means of the Microsoft Power BI tool.  Another project which aims at characterising the state of the ladle through the advanced interpretation of thermographic images using artificial intelligence tools. The ladle is the liquid steel container during its entire metallurgical process.
