108 Sustainability Report 2021 | Commitment to society Side by side with communities At Sidenor, we work together with entities and groups which help make this world a better one, always focussing on the local sphere and aiming at achieving maximum impact on society. These are some of the activities we supported or sponsored in 2021: We play as a team Sport is one of the values that make a community. In this sense, Sidenor fosters its practice, supporting clubs and associations in the various municipalities where we are present. Among these sponsorships are the following: Sociedad Deportiva Amorebieta The sports society Amorebieta and Sidenor have concluded an agreement according to which the Company will be the main sponsor of the club during the 2021-2022 season. Sidenor will thus accompany Amorebieta in a historic season where the “Zornotzarras” make their debut in the second division. This is an unprecedented milestone for the team and its passion, particularly as the team’s presence in the silver league turns Amorebieta- Etxano, which includes barely 20,000 residents, into the least populated municipality in the entire LaLiga SmartBank. Club Deportivo Anaitasuna Anaitasuna is a sports club of the town of Azkoitia which was founded in 1934. Its football section currently includes nine teams, seven male teams and two female teams, composed of over 200 young people. Club Deportivo Basconia This is one of the historic football clubs in Biscay.
