89 In favour of innovation Sidenor was one of the 52 major Basque firms which acted as trailblazing companies for start-ups from all over the world at the fourth edition of the Bind 4.0 programme. In 2020, through this public/ private platform aimed at attracting talent and developing smart industry in the Basque Country, the Company worked together with the start-up Kevo Technologies on a project regarding speech recognition techniques for process automation and digitisation in the industrial area. This project was selected as the best start- up project at the fourth BIND 4.0 edition. In its four editions, the open Smart industry innovation platform accelerated over 100 start-ups and boosted over 170 technology projects from 57 leading companies in the sector. In addition, BIND 4.0, was selected this year as the winner of the 14th edition of European Enterprise Promotion Awards. Visits to our facilities One year more, we welcomed visits by students, such as those from the Ikastola Lauaxeta of Amorebieta- Etxano, to our work centres so that they may get a close look at the steel manufacturing processes. During the visit, they were explained how factories and management systems work, so that they might have a clear idea and decide which university studies they wish to follow.
