87 With our sponsorship, we support various public and private entities which promote sports: Basauri Kirolak The Municipal Sports Institute of Basauri Town Council aims, among others, at protecting, promoting and developing sport in all its diversity. Bizkaia Bizkaialde Foundation This public and privately- funded institution which coordinates the economic efforts of sports sponsors in order to make their investments profitable, help promote Biscay and contribute to the proper and effective organisation of sports events. Women’s rowing team Kaiku Sidenor works with a number of male and female sports clubs but, in 2019, the Company decided to go a step further and specifically support the women’s team of the rowing club. Club Portugalete As part of its commitment to youth, culture and sports, the Club Portugalete works with basic and federated football clubs on the organisation of regular competitions and tournaments, social activities with various non-profit organisations and sports activities with the Portugalete town hall office of sport. 5+11 Foundation This non-profit entity works on the development of cultural, educational, social and grassroots sport promotion activities for the benefit of the entire society in Álava. Azkoitia In Azkoitia, we promote sports by collaborating directly with other clubs and institutions, such as the Azkoitia Zubi Berri Gimnastika Kirol Taldea gymnastics team, the Zubiarre Igeri Elkarte swim club, the Oteiza Pilota Taldea pelota club, the Irarurgi basketball club, triathlon groups, athletics event organisers, chess tournaments, etc. Other collaborations Club Deportivo Basconia Founded in 1913 in the city of Basauri, it is one of the historic Biscay football clubs. An affiliate of the pro Athletic Club, it trains different teams of boys and girls from Basauri of all ages. Club Atlético Basauri Balonmano Although the origins of the club can be traced back to 1896, the current club was created in 2006 as a result of a merger between Club Balonmano Basauri (women’s) and Atl. Basauri Balonmano (men’s). With over 600 members and 120 players, it is one of the main sporting entities in the city.
