Sidenor 2020 Corporate Report

73 The first Spanish steel company with ISO 45001 Collective agreements We have collective agreements in all our worksites, which cover 84% of our professionals (85% in 2019). We maintain a permanent and continuous channel of contact with union leaders so as to involve them in future decisions which affect activity or working conditions, especially as regards health and occupational safety. Thus, collective negotiations have resulted in the entry into force of our Prevention Plan, which includes all people of the organisation and undergoes regular review in order to improve our safety and occupational health systems. For this purpose, the Safety, Health and Environment Committee meets every month in each worksite. This Committee is composed of the prevention delegates and the same number of company representatives who are responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the risk prevention plans and programmes in the company. In line with our commitment to safety, we became in 2018 the first company in the Spanish steelmaking sector to obtain the certification according to ISO 45001 standard, which was released the same year. In May and June 2020, we successfully passed the second norm maintenance audit, according to which we are certified in this norm one year more. We can now prepare for 2021, where we will be submitted to a certification audit, a more complex, larger and more detailed audit, with the aim to continue being a Company which complies with international standards by means of a robust safety system which has become established over time.
