Sidenor 2020 Corporate Report

67 More initiatives to work better With a view to improving working conditions at Sidenor, we implement actions aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of time at work: Life insurance All professionals of the Group have a life insurance, which reflects the fact that they are Sidenor’s major asset. Education aid Some of our worksites, like those in Reinosa and Vitoria, encourage the development of our professionals’ children by means of an aid/scholarship programme. Flexibility 80 % of our staff works in shifts (morning, afternoon, night) and does not perform any job duty outside this shift. The remaining 20%, which work part time, have flexible entry and exit times. Personal benefits Our Vitoria plant is associated with the San Prudencio foundation, which enables the people hired in this centre to access services and activities that bring added value in a large variety of circumstances. As for our Reinosa plant, it relies on a corporate group, which organises trips, excursions and different activities so Sidenor professionals and their families can get the best out of their leisure time. Disconnection from work Sidenor has not implemented any disconnection-from-work policy yet. Canteen At the Basauri plant, the staff has access to a canteen service with very flexible opening times, so as to allow for work-life balance.
