Sidenor 2020 Corporate Report

66 In 2019, we launched the “Awareness raising on Equal Opportunities” training, in which 31 people took part (a pilot project which gathered Human Resources as well as union representatives). This training was supposed to be implemented in 2020 as a cascade training from Management to all company levels but was postponed to 2021 as a consequence of COVID-19. The meeting of the Equality Plan Monitoring Committee took place in July 2020 and was attended by the trade unions that have signed the Plan and the Company. In this meeting, data, status of the actions and new initiatives for future development were reviewed. Externally, we aligned our commitment to our surroundings with the purpose of our Equality Plan and started working together with the Kaiku rowing Club in order to give visibility to women’s sport. We believe that our Equality Plan, as well as the initiatives it triggers, is a major step forward, although we will continue working to further improve in this field. Thus, we will further encourage policies and measures which favour the inclusion of women in a sector which is traditionally male. As regards inclusion, the ground floor of the headquarters includes a series of meeting rooms and toilets as well as parking places specifically intended for people with disabilities. Besides, a lift was installed in 2019, all this with a view to achieving universal accessibility for disabled people. Corporate Report 2020 | People
