60 Corporate Report 2020 | People Our staff, which was made up of 1,633 people at the end of 2020 and 1,695 at the end of 2019, is our greatest asset. Thanks to the commitment, talent and daily endeavour of all professionals who are part of Sidenor, we have become the Company that we are now. We want to continue growing together and, for this purpose, we work day after day to provide our team with the best possible workplace. In terms of prevention, we constantly review and improve the safety systems of all our centres and activities so as to ensure the integrity and health of the staff. In 2020, all measures which were carried out in order to mitigate COVID-19 risks and thus protect the integrity of all our professionals were particularly relevant. For Sidenor, human beings in their integrity are of greater value than any other objective or priority of the company. No emergency situation, production or result can jeopardise the health or safety of people, the protection of the environment and the quality of products and services. For this purpose, the Company implements the Human Resources Plan in accordance with the Prevention Plan. In the area of equality, our corporate policies enable us to provide all people with the same opportunities and exclude all types of discrimination based on gender, race or religion. In this regard, the well-being of our staff is also a priority for us, and we promote an effective conciliation so that everybody, regardless of gender, might reach a real balance between work and private life.
