Sidenor 2020 Corporate Report
37 At Sidenor, we are moving forward on our Sidenor 4.0 digitisation plan, with projects that are focused on the industrial as well as support areas. As regards the industrial area, and as part of our objective to transform Basauri into a smart factory, the following projects should be highlighted: We have completed the “Digital Twin” project , the digital twin of the rolling mill at Basauri developed within the framework of the BIND 4.0 programme. By means of a visualisation of the rolling mill, this digital twin will enable us to access the main KPIs or indicators of the installation in real time, navigating from any device. We have finalised the development of an automatic artificial vision system which performs a continuous contactless measurement of the bar arrow in the finishing lines. Lastly, we have developed a new departmental rolling and finishing system at Basauri, which is based on the new technologies and includes all new existing functionalities. As regards the support areas, our working lines were the following: Digitisation of the relationship with our suppliers through the new Purchase Portal. We have completed the first phase of the demand forecast project, which consists in modelling and forecasting the demand of our customers by means of artificial intelligence. Lastly, and within the framework of the BIND 4.0 innovation programme, we have developed our first BOT for the execution of lower added-value administrative tasks. Innovation: towards Industry 4.0 Cybersecurity plan The information technology department has been working on an ambitious cybersecurity plan, which encompasses various working lines: review of the securisation process of all IT equipment, update of firewalls and access control rules, development of a security alert monitoring system, update of the business continuity and redesign plan, network segmentation and securisation as well as a specific cybersecurity training for networked equipment users.
