After a period of reflection at internal level on how to structure and define the working methodology for the teams, it is finally launched by the middle of the year. The initiative aims at achieving manufacturing processes that are even more stable and controlled in order to supply quality products in a sustainable way.   We obtain the ISO 45001 certificate on occupational health and safety for the third year in a row, as well as the 14001 (Environment) and 50001 (Energy) certificates in an integrated manner. JULY   We make our first steps in the additive manufacturing technology through the ACEWAAM project, in cooperation with ADDILAN, a leading company in WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) technology, for the production of massive components with high requirements. We will thus develop specific products for additive manufacturing and seek to become a reference supplier in this growing sector.   Establishment of the new thermal treatment workshop at the Basauri Metallurgical Laboratory, with an investment of 760,000 euros. This investment enables us to adapt the lab’s thermal treatment facilities in order to increase capacity, improve ergonomics and safety and adjust them to the extension of rolled round bar products in the MN mill at Basauri after the phase II-investment performed in 2020.   The initiative we are leading together with the start- up Kevo Technologies is selected as as best start- up project at the fourth BIND 4.0 edition. The project implements speech recognition techniques for process automation and digitisation in the industrial area.   We implement CAPTIO as a tool for the digitisation of travel expenses management.
