81 For equal opportunities At Sidenor, we work to foster the integration of everyone into society and we do so in a responsible manner, seeking alliances with the suppliers which bring added value to their own activity. As part of our endeavour to promote the employability of vulnerable groups, we work together with entities such as Lanbide (Basque employment service) or Usoa, a sheltered worksite in Barakaldo whose mission is to provide disabled people with stable and standard job opportunities which enable both their social and personal development. For the integration of young people The Bakuva Foundation is a non- profit association dedicated to the social integration of children and young people from Bilbao’s La Vieja district by means of sporting, en-tertainment and educational activities. At Sidenor, we have been working together with this Foundation since 2017, as part as of our commitment to groups which are most in need of support. Why Not Foundation This Foundation aims at helping people with mental diseases and/ or disorders deal with their leisure and free time. Many people who suffer from this type of diseases are isolated. The Foundation helps them regain motivation and enthusiasm and manage their daily life with a different joy. With those who need it most Pequeño Deseo Foundation The mission of this non- profit organisation is to turn the desires of boys and girls suffering from chronic diseases or with poor prognosis into reality in order to support them emotionally and make their disease more bearable. In 2019, we worked together with the organisation to fulfil the dream of little Nora, a young patient of the Cruces hospital in the vicinity of our plant in Basauri, who wants to tour in a balloon. Together, Sidenor and the Pequeño Deseo Foundation will turn her dream to walk in the clouds into reality.
