61 The data on accidents at work detailed in the table are not disaggregated by sex. The risk profile is defined according to each work position, as gender is not a relevant topic in terms of occupational safety for the Company, given that, besides, men account for 95% of the productive workforce. Thus, Sidenor does not consider occupational accidents according to gender but to the risk inherent to each position. In 2019, we carried out various strategic projects aiming at improving the management of daily tasks by reducing unnecessary management times, and achieving a better participation and control in all our activities, in order to avoid accidents. 2019 2018 Accidents 174 117 Frequency rate 21.4 17.1 Severity rate 0.5 0.4 Occupational illnesses 12 4 Accident rates The frequency rate includes all accidents involving absence from work that have occurred in Sidenor’s installations. Application for workshop inspections and observations management by means of mobile phones: in this way, the entire documentation generated is automatically filed when actions are sent to the general control system of each area. This facilitates the implementation of activities while significantly reducing administrative time. Delivery control machines for personal protective equipment, so that workers may have a closer access to individual protective equipment; in this way, each user has the equipment he/she needs for his/ her position and tasks. Individual stickers on helmets. In order to manage on-site trainings, all operators of Sidenor have a sticker with a bar code on their helmet; by means of a simple mobile phone scanning, we can know which equipment use authorizations they have, if parts of such trainings are no longer valid, or if they haven’t undergone annual medical examination yet; in this way, routine checks enable us to correct small deviations. 1 2 3
