52 Corporate report 2019 | People Absenteeism rate Sidenor uses the most prudent version of this concept, considering each absence from work as absenteeism, including absences resulting from occupational or non-occupational accidents, long-term sick leaves or maternity or paternity leaves, except holidays. In 2019, it reaches 8.8%, with a global computation of 323,629 hours, while it is worth highlighting that 21,091 hours, corresponding to paternity and maternity leaves, are included in the absenteeism rate. In 2018, it reached 8.1%, with a global computation of 323,330 hours, while it is worth highlighting that 16,000 hours, corresponding to paternity and maternity leaves, are included in the absenteeism rate. Sidenor employs 11 people who present some form of disability – they were 13 in 2018 – and, as a demonstration of the Group’s commitment to diversified employment, we work together with special employment centres in order to promote social integration policies.
